The Pollstar, a site specializing in concerts, released its annual ranking of the tours that grossed more in the world throughout the year.
The Femme Fatale Tour, which promoted the singer's seventh album, and bearing the same name, was the eleventh in the ranking, with 68.7 million dollars collected in 82 shows. The average price of tickets for Britney was $98, selling about 700,000 tickets in total on the tour, and billing about $858,000 per show! The five biggest tours of 2011 were U2, Take That, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift and Roger Waters, respectively.
For those who do not remember the last tour of Britney, The Circus Starring: Britney Spears, was ranked fifth in 2009, earning just over 130 million with 98 shows and was the second largest women's tour of the year, second only to Madonna. The results of the new tour are obviously inferior to those achieved with the Circus, it has not been exploited to the maximum capacity arenas with the show in 2011. In some shows, for example, only 50% of the seats in the arenas were provided by the organizers.
