Us Weekly says that Britney cried upon learning of their tutelage

The January issue of Us Weekly hits newsstands carrying a story about the Christmas program and the Spears family on the extension of protection.

There was no contact between Kevin Federline and Britney during the Christmas show performed especially for the former couple's sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, on December 18. The singer sat beside her father Jamie Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick, while Federline attended the show alongside his girlfriend Victoria Prince. Despite the cold shoulder, Spears was quite lively. But the star appeared to be down three days later, during his stay in a hotel in New York after spending the weekend with Trawick. "She was crying in the hotel restaurant at 6:45 am," said one source. "One of the officials offered a handkerchief, but she shook her head gesturing he did not need."

The source of the gossip magazine suggested that the reason for Britney's behavior was because of the news that their responsibility had been extended.
