The ex-husband of Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, was approached by TV
Week magazine to comment on the singer's engagement to Jason Trawick,
and he said he was delighted to learn of the news.
"I'm really happy for her - I think Jason a great guy", said Kevin, who is currently filming a reality show about weight loss. "She's happy and doing well. I mean she is in a good position now. I
have not spoken to her a lot since I came to Australia - we walked very
busy lately, and she was on tour so far - but I know she is well
because Sean and Jayden and their teachers tell me they are doing very
well . It is a good step in the right direction. I am very happy for her."
Britney and Kevin have two sons, Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five, during the two-year marriage that ended in 2006. Since then, Kevin has welcomed to her fifth child, a girl named Jordan, who had with current girlfriend Victoria Prince.
"It's great when you are able to move on with your life", he says. "I mean, Victoria is the best person in the world. I had to go through the things I went through to find someone like her. It is more than I ever could have expected. Britney I hope you feel the same way now."
As for Jason to become a stepfather to her two sons, Kevin has only praise do. "He's a nice guy - I've heard a lot about it", says Kevin. "I have spoken with him several times. He seems like a really good guy. Children speak much of it [and] Britney's family loves him."
Kevin
also told the magazine about the "dramatic time" they spent in 2007
when Britney, now 30, was accompanied by his collapsing world.
"It was hard. [Were] times very, very, very dramatic", Kevin said. "I had to do what had to do for the safety of our children. But at the same time, broke my heart in pieces watch my ex through it. It was horrible. It was quite a dramatic and depressing moment of my life, I'm so glad I got through and leave behind what happened. It was very difficult."
