All eyes are on Britney Spears as the pop diva is ready to debut at N° 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart next week with his new album, Femme Fatale. Their seventh studio album, released on Tuesday (29), is the way to the top of the chart with estimated sales of 280,000 copies by the end of the week on April 3.
Industry experts believe that if all goes well, the album can come close to 300,000 copies. Currently, Femme Fatale will have the second biggest sales week of the year, only behind Adele's 21 album, which sold 352,000 copies.
If the album actually premiere in the first place, Spears will have six albums with this brand. Five of his studio albums reached number one in the first week of release - just her fifth, Blackout, lost the first set, starting sales in 2nd place.
A sixth # 1 album put Spears in a rare position, since it would be the third singer to have so many # 1 albums (along with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson). Only Barbra Streisand (nine) and Madonna (seven) had more albums debuting at the top of the chart.
