The Museum Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will pay tribute to the important women in rock history, reports the official website of the institution. According to the page of Rolling Stone magazine, in a note published on Thursday, will be exhibited articles of 50 women, including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Britney Spears too.
"This exhibition will illustrate the key role played by women in the evolution of rock and roll", said Jim Henke, vice president of museum exhibitions. "The idea, he said, is 70 years of women in popular music - from the earliest recordings of blues of Mamie Smith in 1920 to recent successes."
