Jessie J talks about songs for the new album!

Songwriter Jessie J spoke with MTV and revealed that the music he wrote for Britney reinforces the iconic status of the singer.

"I know that with her new album she has worked with several producers in dubstep", she says of dance influence already on the album's first single, Hold It Against Me. "I kind of did not want to do anything other than what I think Britney is Britney and me is an icon. She is one of those people who can do what you want because she's so 'iconic'. There is no one who does it gets its way, and that's what I wanted to write."

Describing the lyrics something like "diva style" and "really liberal", the composer said the pop star deserves to brag about how MCs (rappers). "These rappers talk so much about how they are convinced and no one twists the nose for them. If a singer dares to do that, people already think she thinks, but I think Britney deserves to say 'I can do it very well and can make it as good as anyone else."

Jessie J quoted Beyonce's alter ego, Sasha Fierce, as an example of a singer who proudly displayed his more aggressive personality. "She almost had to create an alter ego to cope with it", she says. "I do not think Britney needs an alter ego. She is just Britney Spears. Where is Britney Spears."
