Two songs that are making a huge success in the U.S. have something in common: they were written and produced by a little-known British - both Love The Way You Lie from Eminem with Rihanna as Airplanes of B.o.B with Hayley Williams vie for first position on the Billboard charts.
The man behind hits also has written for Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend and Mary J Blige, but his next project may be its most exciting so far.
"I'm always working. I am currently in the studio with a number of singers such as Britney Spears, and I'm really excited about what the future holds", said Alexander Grant, better known as Alex Da Kid. "My goal is to become a composer overall."
