The idea of ​​putting Trawick in the video came from Britney herself, but director Chris Marrs Piliero was not so sure that he would be the ideal person for the role. "When we first met to talk about the clip, it still had a very simple story in mind, and she had originally planned to have the participation of Jason, her boyfriend, the role of the criminal, but I was so excited at first", he told MTV News.

The big question that weighed Trawick was that the director is not a professional actor and Chris was not sure that his inexperience would result in something good in the video. "I wanted to make a fantastic video and epic, and I definitely had the feeling that she wanted something really cool", he explained. "And in my mind I was thinking, 'We really should not put your boyfriend, but climbing an actor.' So, I mean, I did not say that for Britney, but in my head I was like, 'I do not like this idea.'"

Trawick and his 'six pack', however, managed to impress Piliero - and fans everywhere. "In the end, Jason crushed. This was one of the things that made me really happy, just as I entered the project thinking, 'Wow, he is an actor. It will be interesting, 'but I really like a challenge, and I like the idea that I am a director and my job is to lead and get the performance we want. For me it was a fun challenge to be like, 'I'll make sure that you are incredible, and it was amazing."

Piliero also worked with Spears in her video for I Wanna Go, and he was once again impressed with his daring skill as an actress. "Of course, Britney was incredible", he said.
