Teresa LaBarbera talks about working with Britney on Jive Records!

Teresa LaBarbera Whites, who recently returned to work at Columbia Records after dedicating six years on Jive Records, is one of the most successful artistic director (manager A&R) of the music industry over the past 20 years, and she has just awarded a interview with music site SongwriterUniverse.

During his first job in Columbia, which lasted about 14 years, she discovered the talent and signed with Beyonce and Destiny's Child, Jessica Simpson and other artists. And during his years with Jive, she was executive producer of albums by Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and P!nk. At Jive Records, Teresa had great participation in the album Blackout (which contains hits like Gimme More and Piece of Me), Circus (which brought hits like Womanizer, Circus, If You Seek Amy), and also taking care of Spears' new album , Femme Fatale (which already has as the hit Hold It Against Me).
When asked about what albums and singles she is most proud of having worked at Jive, Teresa immediately suggests some productions made for Britney Spears.

"I feel proud for everything. I was lucky at Jive and started working with some incredible artists. Working with Britney Spears will always be a highlight in my career. She is an amazing performer and a wonderful person to work", said Teresa.

"The first album that we worked together was a blackout and his hits Gimme More and Piece of Me. Blackout had a sound so different for her. That was what made it so exciting for me, create a new sound with her to her fans." Says Teresa, commenting further on production for the sixth studio album Britney,

"I was also executive producer on the album Circus. My approach on each album that is working to help the artist to create a body of work that fans will want to hear from beginning to end. For me, the album tracks are as important as the singles. I love them as much as I love the singles. I have not become a single one of my favorite songs from the album Circus is Unusual You. After all, I am a fan too."
